Pancake Day is the last day before the Christian period of Lent. So, if you're giving up your favourite treats til Easter, Tuesday 21st February could be your last day to indulge in a delicious breakfast classic – pancakes.
Pancakes are delicious just topped with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey, but there's so much more you can do with them, from the sweet and fruity options to the savoury.
To help you celebrate Pancake Day, we’ve rustled up tasty pancake recipes and ideas that you and your child can try out. And why not make it extra special with this cool idea to make funky pancake shapes? Happy flipping!
The recipe for classic pancakes is worth printing out and keeping on the fridge. Put whatever toppings you like on them (try not to go overboard) or pile chopped fruit on top for a healthier twist. Instead of just plopping scoops of mixture into the pan, try making simple shapes - a heart or Mickey Mouse head shape is a good start!
