If you like heading outdoors, off-road or to exercise with your buggy, you’ll love what 2010 has in store for you and your baby…
Mountain Buggy
Mountain Buggy is back! Late last year we heard there were going to be four options in the range for 2010.
Firstly, there’s the 3-wheeler Urban Jungle, a single buggy. Then there’s the Swift, a slightly smaller single 3-wheeler, which can be fitted with a carrycot.
The Mountain Buggy range will also feature a 4-wheel twin (side-by-side) buggy, the Duo, which can be used with two seats or with a carrycot and seat.
We’ve also heard about a tandem 3-wheeler buggy, where the back seat has a foot well and is at the same level as the front seat. This is unlike many other “inline tandems” where your child at the rear is “tucked” at a lower height in a scoop-like seat.
Phil and Teds
Phil and Teds, the other big name in 3-wheeler and all-terrain buggies, is also set to stun mums and dads with their new releases. The Smart buggy is said to weigh just 6kg. How do they do it? Aerocore, that’s how! This foam-like material is super light, hypoallergenic and waterproof, and is used to create the seat unit. You’ll be able to take off the seat and add a parent-facing carrycot. You’ll can add four or five different leading car seats to create a travel system. It’s meant to be easy to fold, too.
There’ll also be the Phil and Teds Sub 4 – a 3-wheeler we’ve heard described as “the world’s fastest jogger”. Its features include 3-way suspension, an aerocore seat and a handbrake a bit like one you’d find on a bicycle.
Baby Jogger
Phil and Teds isn’t the only one with a fitness-friendly buggy we snuck a peak of last year. UK mums and dads could see Baby Jogger add the Baby Jogger F.I.T to the list. There’s no word as yet on UK release dates, but stay tuned!
