A couple from West Yorkshire have got married just two hours after the arrival of their baby daughter, Alisha.
Siobhan Jones managed to squeeze into her wedding dress and tie the knot with partner Robert Black following the birth which was two weeks over due.
Hospital staff called the registry office to tell them to hang on and both mum and daughter managed to make it to the 4pm ceremony.
"It was exhausting but totally worth it,” Robert said, with his 19-year-old bride adding that it was "the double happiest day of my life".
The pair had little choice over the date of the wedding as squaddie Robert has to fly out to Afghanistan today.
Midwife Janet Russell-Cox, who helped deliver Alisha at Calderdale Royal Hospital in Halifax, said that they had used aromatherapy treatment to help encourage the baby to arrive.
