An American woman is celebrating the birth of her second son, who arrived weighing a whopping 13lb 13oz.
Asher Stewardson was born after a six-hour labour, during which mum Kendall turned down a painkilling epidural injection.
Kendall and her husband Joshua, from Iowa, wanted to avoid a caesarean delivery if possible, believing a natural birth to be better for both mum and baby.
Asher isn’t Kendall’s first big baby. She had some trainined just 15 months ago when she gave birth to his elder brother, Joshua, who arrived weighing 12lbs 1oz. Less than 1% of newborns weigh over 11lbs.
