we were SO lucky, we saw an Ad for a second hand double buggy on Morrisons noticeboard - £15! lasted long enough until 2yo was happy to walk, and we moved onto a buggyboard and a single buggy quite quickly.... the double buggy then got passed onto a neighbour, so it was well used for £15! )
good luck with whatever you get too x
Evening, I'm posting this for a girl-friend who is trying to get rid of a stock of Bravado Nursing Bras, half original price, and she'll throw in some free matching knickers too if she's got them in your size (these are obviously new too before you ask,,,!)
Give me a shout with your offers, say a tenner each, and your size, colour pref (black, white, natural, peach, leopard skin?!) and will let you know what she has available... breast pads and thongs too, all Bravado I think, so a really good make....
we use a mix of both reusable nappies and biodegradable ones (the Tushies which we got from greenbaby.com)
Using reusable is definitely a good idea, from an environmental point of view, and also as it's saved me so much money....we had them handed down from our neighbour, so they were free! We've got a bit of a mix of Itti Bitti's and TotsBots, oh and a couple of well worn Ecobots too.
On the disposable front, the Tushies are great for emergencies, if you are out and about. We try to stick to cloth though.... if you look at the Womens Environment Network, or as ET says above check on your local gov site for vouchers, although not sure what the situ is with the new Government.... I wonder if Sam Cam is using cloth? Ask her for us?!
