MFM Community Manager scopes out the best new products behind the scenes at London’s baby products showcase

With so many cool new baby products to see at this year’s Baby Show for Trade, over two floors in London Olympia’s huge arena, it was hard to choose where to start. So I decided to let my 3-year-old lead the way and see what products caught his eye.
The approach worked surprisingly well and here is his our list of unmissable new products:
Chicco
We love the stylish new make-over Chicco has had, bringing out its Italian heritage. Munchkin’s picks are the beautiful Ferrari-inspired Neptune car seat (9 months – 12 years) that he’s got his eye on for his next car seat, and the Band baby walker with fixed pads that prevent tipping over steps. I loved the i-Move stroller (birth - 3 years) for its perfect combo of good looks, practicality and the seat that swivels 360 degrees, taking it from rear to forward facing in one easy move.
MonkeySwimmers
From Monkeys Inc, these armbands have layers that can be removed as your little one’s confidence grows in the pool. They come with a story book and a progress chart, which both encourage fun, confident swimming.
Koodle Doodle
We both wanted to snuggle down in this gorgeous bedding, especially the aeroplane cushions, soft and squashy and great for flying round the room.
Happy Hopperz
As soon as Munchkin spotted these, he was off! Great for him, but maybe not so great for Happy Hopperz careful display! Definitely a thumbs up for this instant winner, though.
Child’s Play
We got rather side tracked by the wide range of books and games, especially the finger puppet books, card games, signing packs, finger puppets and story sacks at Child’s Play. Great to see traditional play being made fun again.
B.sensible
Stylish and practical, this fitted waterproof and breathable, combined sheet and mattress protectors look good, feel nice and soft and come in a range of colours to match any nursery. Plus, they’re hypoallergenic and are made of natural fibres for great breathability.
