Finding the right Christmas gifts for the whole family can push busy mums to the brink, but the John Lewis Christmas 2012 press show reassured MFM yet again that all your Christmas gifts, food and decorations can be found under one roof – phew!
Festive winter wonderland
This Christmas, John Lewis has created a range of décor to suit every household. The retro-inspired Christmas Holiday theme includes 50s-inspired tree decorations for a nostalgic, happy holiday, but our favourite had to be their Lapland theme, which includes adorable fluffy polar bear figurines (£4.50), a felt Santa tree topper (£4) and an advent calendar made from miniature stockings.
Gifts for all the family
John Lewis is carefully bridging the gap between techno and retro, fully embracing this Christmas’ app and tablet trend but also reminiscing over the joys of past Christmas toys.
For babies, the Fisher-Price activity case (£12.99) stands out as a great way to keep babies engaged while protecting your precious iPad, and the Gamechanger transforms an iPad into an interactive board game for the whole family. Simple pleasures can be had from the gorgeous Caramel rocking horse (£125) or traditional snakes and ladders (£10).
Dads will love showy gifts like the personalised iPad cases (£49.95), art vinyl (£20) to hang on the walls and the Swan ‘Come Dine With Me’ party wok and pancake maker (£59.95).
Finally, pampering and indulgence is on the agenda for mums this Christmas – we had to be physically dragged away from the Godiva chocolates. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
