High street fashion fave Next has gone all Seventies on us with their upcoming collection - and we got to see it first...
Although the weather outside is delightful, MFM put on our winter hats to preview the upcoming autumn/ winter collection at Next.
Surrounded by a sea of burnt orange and mustard hues, mixed with luxe creams and chocolate browns, it felt like we had stepped into Studio 54.
For the ladies, think gorgeous billowing blouses, silk scarves, floppy hats and lot's of tweed and a splash of corderoy. The accessories completed the Seventies vibe with an array of chunky chelsea loafers and T-bar wedges. Let's not forget the abundance of faux fur - in gillet, waistcoat and belted jacket form. And don't even get us started on the handbags...
The childrenswear echoed the Seventies trend, with the colour palette remaining a strong contender throughout the range. However, we also noticed a large amount of quirky prints for the boys, and lashings of embellishment and embroidery detailing for the girls.
Offerings for little babies included punchy rompers (we love the stripey mouse babygro), mini Barbour jacket-style pram suits and (our fave) a pink tutu skirt with all-in-one leggings. CUTE.
For interior-mad mums, Next also showcased its upcoming homeware which was just as gorgeous as the clothing. Featuring quirky lampshades, kooky mirrors and gem hued fabrics - our favourite was the lamp shade made out of tea cups.
The A/W 2011 collection won't be available until late August/ September. Take a look at the gallery below and let us know what your favourite picks from the collection are.
