On Wednesday 20th July 2011, a famine was offically declared in two regions of Somalia by the United Nations. Almost 12 million people are fighting for their lives because of a severe drought that has hit various countries in the region.

Glasgow Celtic Charity Fund are backing the Oxfam appeal to raise funds for Africa, by making it their main beneficiary of the all-star football match in Glasgow on Tuesday 9th August.

It looks like a great family night out to watch celebs from both the football and entertainment world battling it out in a friendly game bewteen Celtic and Manchester United. The match is being held at Celtic Park and broadcast live on TV with a 7.45 kick off.

Different names keep being added to the players' list. Some of the confirmed players include Ricky Hatton, Patrick Kielty, Nicky Byrne and Angus Deayton, with Billy Connolly the Patron of the Celtic Foundation also there on the night. Various other celebs such as Paulo Nutini, Rod Stewart and Wayne Rooney may also be lending support to the event as well.
