Waking up bright and early this morning, the MFM team headed to Amazon's press show for an exclusive sneak preview at this year's Christmas goodies.
Stepping into the press show was like stepping straight into an Amazon warehouse. Each section, from baby to toys to gadgets, was placed within huge Amazon parcel boxes. We felt like we were in a scene from The Borrowers! Whilst nibbling on cute, and tasty, mini muffins and downing glasses of fresh orange, we excitedly stepped into the first 'box' - Toys and Games - and spotted the Dance Star Mickey straight away. What's not to love about the world's favourite mouse? With a squeeze of his hand, Mickey comes alive, dancing, talking and even walking to music. Perfect for keeping those little ones entertained while you're slaving away over that Christmas dinner. We were also impressed by the VTech Kidizoom Twist. Chunky enough for small hands, this camera has an ultra-cool twist lens that lets kids play around and take photos of themselves, without the worry of breaking your expensive one! In the 'Electronics Box' we found an ideal present for mums and dads, the Amazon Kindle. The Kindle is set to be this year's biggest seller for Amazon, for the third year running. Light and easy, you can purchase books at the click of a button wherever you are in the world - a great gift for those always on the go. As we got nearer to the 'Sports & Leisure Box', a red and silver Razor Bogo Pogo Stick caught our eye. Watching a PR have a go we realised it was a lot harder than it looks, but is definitely a great present for active dads and older children to enjoy. MFM was offered a go but had to politely decline - heels and pogo sticks are not a good mix! Last stop was the 'Baby Box', which was full of adorable little gifts for your (or your friend's) new arrival. Our top picks were the Mozart Magic Cube (as you can see on the left) and the Lamaze Stacking Totem Poles. We also reckon toddlers will love sitting in their own Banlon Mini Cadillac Child's Chair.
