DNA tests have revealed that Alfie Patten, then 12, from Eastbourne, did not get his 15-year-old girlfriend, Chantelle Stedman, pregnant.
The tests showed that another boy from Eastbourne, who is 15, as the father of Chantelle’s baby.
The revelation has said to have left Alfie “extremely distressed”.
After Alfie claimed he was the father of Chantelle’s baby, other boys came forward to say they believed the child was theirs.
Better sex education in Britain was at the top of the agenda in February when Alfie, then 12, was pictured holding the baby that he believed to be his newborn daughter.

Discuss this story

Really not surprised that the DNA test proved he was not the father. When this story came out, I told everyone he could not be the father, as he looks like he has not even gone through puberty yet.

The problem lies not only with better sex education, but also lack of parental control.
