Terri Bainbridge and her 4-year-old daughter Billie have both been diagnosed with cancer - but are vowing to fight it together
Terri Bainbridge, 40, was diagnosed with breast cancer just four months before her 4-year-old daughter Billie was told she has an inoperable brain tumour in June.
Billie symptoms included a voice change and her eyes "seemed a bit droopy and she was starting to dribble - it looked like she'd had a stroke," said mum Terri, reports the Metro.
At the time, Terri had just had a mastectomy and was undergoing chemotherapy.
"Once I found out about Billie, I just thought, 'I don't matter in the slightest.' I wish I could have it for her," said Terri.
An MRI scan diagnosed Billie with a tumour in the brain stem that unfortunately is too dangerous to operate on. Billie has had radiotherapy to shrink the tumour but the family have been told that the tumour will grow again.
"I refuse to believe Billie will die. When I had my hair shaved off because it was falling out, it really brought it home to my partner Sam that I had cancer and, yes, I could die."
"I'm not going to let that happen and I am going to do everything I can to make sure Billie doesn't either," Terri vowed.
The family is trying to raise £200,000 so Billie can be sent to Texas for special treatment.
"The Texas clinic is our last hope because her odds are very slim. Every day counts," said Billie's dad, Sam, 34.
