A new survey from The Department of Health has found first time mums have the most questions about their baby’s development at 5 months.Four out of five mums said they feel their baby’s needs changed so quickly between 5 and 8 months, they were concerned that they were doing a good job, while a fifth of mums admitted that by this point, baby care had become repetitive. The majority of mums asked also said visits from friends and family dropped off after 5 months, and their partner was less able to get home from work to help out after this time. The survey coincides with The Department of Health’s new website launch, Baby LifeCheck, an online questionnaire to help new parents.
