Do your children walk to school everyday?
Do your children walk to school everyday?

With only a half of primary school children walking to school each morning, Walk To School Week aims to get your little ones on their feet and walking to class. The campaign already has 6,400 schools involved and 1.6 million children taking part - and is backed by high street store Marks & Spencer.

To make walking to school more entertaining, Marks & Spencer has teamed up with the charity Living Streets to launch an online game parents can download and print out. M&S will also offer useful safety tips for children and parents to use while they're walking to school.

So, whether it's walking the whole way, parking the car halfway to the school gate and walking the rest, or even getting off the bus a stop or two earlier - walking with your child to school each morning has excellent health benefits and you'll be doing your bit to cut down pollution and congestion levels.

The free M&S 'Walk To School' game can be downloaded here.
