Mother’s Day survey reveals 70% of adults continue to pass on their mums’ advice
Mums, if you get frustrated thinking your children aren’t listening to you, fear not. A new survey of 2,000 adults by Clintons has revealed 70% of adults pass on pearls of wisdom learned from their mums. Of the adults polled, 48% said they continue to think their mums’ advice is best even though they’re grown up. Two thirds even admitted they often think they’re starting to sound like their mum. But if it’s giving such good advice, that can’t be a bad thing. As for what advice sticks, it seems mums offer an encyclopedia of wisdom. As well as the basics, such as remembering to brush their teeth, wear clean underwear and mind their manners, mums also urge kids to give compliments easily, not to eat in the street and that men are very different creatures to women.
