  • Newborn twins clinging to each other in the bath

Bathing your newborn is always a special (if slightly scarily responsible) moment but this video of tiny little twins being bathed together is breathtakingly beautiful. They're being bathed with infinite tenderness by French nurse Sonia Rochel, whose Thalasso Baby Bath therapy is winning worldwide renown.

  • Aoife Belle dances in her highchair

Una Healy of The Saturday has a little daughter who's obviously planning on growing up to be as musical as her mum – as you can see from this clip of her dancing along to one of The Saturdays' hits

But what makes the clip extra-heart-melty is the moment when Aoife recognises her mum's voice on the track...

  • Pet dog rocks newborn to sleep

Baxter the dog amazed his owner – and new dad – Gerrard Gethings by using his gently panting body to rock two-month-old baby Jarvis to sleep. Gerrard filmed it and posted it in Instagram, and it really is the sweetest thing. Ever.

  • Harper and David Beckham caught on Kiss-Cam

Yes it's slebby, yes it's soppy... but we defy you not to smile at this clip of David Beckham realising he and daughter Harper have been caught on the Kiss Cam at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Aww.

  • A year in the life of a premature baby

Ward Miller was born at just 25 weeks and spent the first 107 days of his life in hospital.

So when, after many, many moments when he might not have made it, little Ward turned one year old, his dad Benjamin wanted to mark the occasion – and thank his wife Lyndsey for her indomitable maternal spirit. So, Benjamin put together a short film of Ward's first year and posted it on his website so everyone could witness the "story of a mother’s love for a baby”.

You'll definitely need the Kleenex for this one, folks...

  • Christmas wishes come true for a plane full of passengers

For a plane load of lucky Canadians, this really was a flight to remember – as every single one of them saw the gift they most wanted for Christmas appear on the luggage carousel on arrival.

Yes, it was a PR stunt by the airline WestJet but it was genius! And it was done with such warmth and charm, we have to admit it made us blub – rather a lot.
