Amanda Lamb reveals due date of miscarried baby is still tough 2 years later
The TV presenter blamed herself for miscarrying at 7 weeks
Amanda Lamb has revealed that the due date of the baby she miscarried is still a difficult day to get through. "There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t think, 'what would he or she have been like?'" she tells the Mirror. "I was due on March 9 and that’s a very poignant day to get through."
The A Place In The Sun presenter was already mum to Willow, now 6, when she married cameraman husband Sean McGuinness and fell pregnant on her honeymoon. But she suffered a missed miscarriage – meaning she didn't realise anything had gone wrong.
"It was horrific. I was on my own because Sean was filming in the Lake District," she said. "I felt I’d done something wrong. Was it because I’d had a tiny sip of champagne at a party? Had I been working too much?
"You blame yourself, but there’s nothing you can do."
"Our baby died at seven weeks but I still thought I was pregnant,” she says.

"It was really, really hard. But time is a great healer and I believe things happen for a reason.
"We lost that little one in August 2013 and by October I was pregnant with Charlotte.
The 43-year-old now wants to share her story to help others. "The more I talk to people, the more I realise I’m not the only one,” she says. “Most of my friends have had a miscarriage."
