Singer is “ecstatic” at conception after sixth IVF attempt
After revealing her struggles to conceive a second child and following six rounds of IVF treatment over the years, 42-year-old Celine Dion has announced that she is pregnant with twins.
“We’re ecstatic. Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing,” Celine’s husband Rene Angelil, 68, has revealed.
It was previously revealed that Celine had her husband’s sperm frozen after he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1999. The singer became pregnant in 2009 but sadly later miscarried.
Celine is said to be14 weeks pregnant and finds out what sex the twins are next month, according to US magazine. Celine and Rene are already parents to 9-year-old son Rene-Carles.
