John Legend's wife denies they're expecting twins after IVF treatment

Chrissy Teigen has shared her first bump selfie, prompting lots of comments that she's expecting twins – and she's not happy.

The 29-year-old model announced that she's pregnant with her husband John Legend's first child with the portrait above just last week – after a long fertility struggle.

But she wasn't prepared for Instagram users having their say on her bump size in her new picture...

Somebody is early to the party 😩😩😩

"Uh @ChrissyTeigen from the looks of that bump, I think u might be expecting twins," one commented. "Isn’t it kinda early to be already shown like that?"

"@ChrissyTeigen you got big fast," another added. "My bestie is due in Feb and she’s half your size. Not twins? Probably triplets."

The mum-to-be took to Twitter to dispel rumours of twins – even explaining how she used IVF to conceive.

I did IVF. One at a time. It isn't twins. I can see the damn thing. Get out of my uterus!

Please stop. I put one embryo in. I have ultrasounds every few days. I didn't announce at a week. https://t.co/v17NlZjo1n

But not all the comments were negative. "I showed at 8 weeks, I loved getting to show off the bump early. You look gorgeous. Our baby girl was born three days ago. Good luck mummy," one mum wrote.

"BEAUTIFUL! You're gorgeous, and growing a little Legend in there, you be proud of that adorable belly," another added.

After the overwhelming response to her selfie, Chrissy tweeted that she'll be laying off tweeting about her pregnancy from now on. "No more preg tweeting for me, lesson learned!! Back to food and reality TV and hay things," she tweeted.

When did your baby bump start to show? Let us know in the comments below.
