All that glitters is gold-plated and slap-bang on trend for 2016 it seems - as is the brand new designer Cybex Priam pushchair.

Created by Moschino's Creative Director Jeremy Scott, it follows the key trend for 2016 - a gold-plated frame and wheels.

Launched this week (November 18th) in the fashion capital of the world (that’s Milan, darling) the Priam also features Jeremy’s signature angel wings in gold, taking the meaning of ‘my little angel’ further than any pushchair has done before.

The original Priam pays homage to iconic American designers Charles and Ray Eames, a husband and wife team who set out to create products that would be used by their own family.

With the newborn carrycot it’s suitable from birth to 9kg, while the Lux and 2-in-1 light seat means it can be used from birth to 17kg (approx. 4 years).

The 2-in-1 seat has pretty much the same features as the Lux but can also be converted into a carrycot, so it’s £60 more.

Prices of the designer buggy are still to be confirmed, but judging by the original Priam, it certainly won’t be cheap.

Expect to pay at least £1,215 (*wave goodbye to your annual budget) for a complete travel system which is a Lux seat and Aton Q infant car seat.

You can buy the Cybex Priam at Mothercare, if you think it's the buggy for you

That makes it more expensive than the Bugaboo Cameleon3 (£1,065), Stokke Xplory (£1,194), Joolz Day Studio (£994) and iCandy Peach 3 All-Terrain (£1,060).

Much like the Mamas & Papas rose gold Urbo 2 (above right) which costs £579 and the Rose Gold Silver Cross Balmoral (above left) which is a breathtaking £40,000, it's a bit of a marmite product. You’re either going to adore it passionately or have a loathing so deep, you’ll want to scream.

However, if you’re in the former camp, the new collection will be coming off the Milan catwalks and into stores in January 2016 – so get ready to get your vogue on!

Personally MFM HQ think gold's a bit passe: we're holding out for the diamond-encrusted pushchairs.

Oh wait, that’s already been done by Tamara Ecclestone. Darn, back to Pinterest.
