Elton John reveals name of his new baby son
Proud dads introduce second child to the world
You have to get up pretty early in the morning to throw MFM off the scent of celeb baby news, so it pleases us to announce that our hunch has been confirmed and Elton John has introduced a new baby boy to the press.
And the name is? A refreshingly normal (if slightly mouth-filling) Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John!
Elton and husband David revealed the exciting news to Hello! magazine, confirming that their bouncing boy was born on Friday, weighing 8lb 4oz, by the same surrogate mother who carried their first son, two-year-old Zachary.
"Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable,” gushed the delighted daddy.
“The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement."

After admitting they were eager for Zachary to have a sibling, rocket men Elton and David certainly didn’t waste any time in adding to their brood.
We couldn’t be happier for the pair of proud papas, and can’t wait to see if baby Elijah manages to upstage his dapper big bro at Elton’s upcoming Oscars bash.
