With its modern lines and innovative features, the yet-to-be released Maclaren Grand Tour LX is one eye-catching buggy. And if you (or your partner) love gadgets, the list of extras included as part of the Maclaren Grand Tour LX package will have you in a frenzy. We’re talking the world’s first dashboard console – which includes a Strollometer and temperature gauge!

Suitable from birth, the Grand Tour LX (also known as the GT LX) features a removable soft carrycot and can be converted from a rear facing to forward facing buggy. It’s also car seat compatible, if you want to use it as part of a travel system.

In terms of safety, the GT LX has impressive credentials – there’s the reinforced chassis, 5-point safety harness and what’s described as a “sophisticated braking system” by Maclaren. And then there’s the safety lights on the buggy chassis operated by a remote control!

The all-terrain wheels can be individually locked and are designed to give a more stable, smoother ride. There are three seat positions, to keep your little one comfy, and if your using the soft carrycot, we’re told by Maclaren it can be lifted off the seat without waking your baby. But you don’t need to take Maclaren’s word for it – we’ve just been sent the first GT LX to be reviewed, so we’ll let you know how this stylish newcomer fares once it has been put to the test.

Back to the world’s first dashboard console – this hi-tech feature uses wireless technology, and includes automotive-inspired extras such as a clock and temperature gauge. It also includes the Strollometer, to track how far and fast you’re going, which is a nifty feature for any mum getting back into shape post-baby. And there’s good news for all the less techy-minded mums and dads out there – it comes pre-calibrated so you’re ready to roll the GT LX straight out of the box. Phew!
