Former Corrie star Katherine Kelly is pregnant
She announced her news weeks after eloping to Las Vegas to get married
Actress Katherine Kelly, 33, is having her first baby early next year. The former Corrie star, who played Becky McDonald on the soap, announced the news on Twitter.
“Ryan & I are overjoyed to announce that we are expecting a baby! Feeling very blessed!” she said.
She and her husband, Ryan Clark, a data analyist and amateur boxer, had been together for three years before they got married in Las Vegas last month. The wedding was a secret, she told her family she was going on holiday with her boyfriend but came back married.
They tied the knot at the Little Church of the West, where celebrities like Angelina Jolie married Billy Bob Thornton. Katherine said of the wedding: “The day was everything we hoped it would be – no fuss, low-key, sunshine and just us. We wanted to enjoy the day without all the usual planning and pressure.
"We'd been laughing and joking all day and then suddenly everything seemed to stop and we tried to get the words 'I do' out without becoming emotional wrecks. It was awesome. I'll never forget that moment for the rest of my life."
