Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have announced they plan to remain "partners in parenthood" following their split. Gwen, 45, has filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage to Gavin, 49, and both parents are allegedly seeking joint custody of their 3 children.

The No Doubt singer met the Bush frontman in 1995 while on tour and they have 3 children together – Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6 and 17-month-old Apollo.

In a joint statement, the separated couple announced that are "committed" to raising their sons together.

"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," they said in a joint statement.

The announcement is similar to the one Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin made earlier this year following their split. The parents of Apple, 9, and Moses, 7, announced that they would "consciously uncouple and co-parent" in March.
