Harry Judd has become a dad for the first time and says he "couldn't be happier".

The McFly drummer's wife Izzy gave birth to a baby girl on Monday.

And just 24 hours later, the new dad announced his baby's name… Lola Rose Emma Judd.

We love that Harry admitted Izzy is now his "hero". Watching your wife give birth is probably tantamount to watching Superwoman save the world – so there's no wonder the boy's gone all starry-eyed.

But that's not all the new dad has had to say about fatherhood. The Strictly Come Dancing winner also tweeted about just how happy he is since his daughter's arrival.

"Lola is asleep on my chest. I'm in heaven. ?," he tweeted.

He also shared a picture on Instagram of himself with an "It's A Girl" balloon.

Before Izzy fell pregnant after IVF treatement last year, the couple had been trying for a baby since their wedding in 2012.

"You feel like you are never going to be the ones who get to say, 'We are having a baby'. That is why we feel so blessed now," Harry, 30, told Hello! magazine.

Izzy, 31, was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries in her 20s and had a miscarriage from their first attempt at IVF last year. "I never wanted to stop believing that we would have a family," she said. "But you do feel like someone has pressed pause on your life and you can’t go anywhere."

Well, we're sure it feels like someone's pressed the 'play' button now - and there's no getting off that newborn rollercoaster!
