How the iCandy Raspberry is helping families returning from Sharm el-Sheikh

    0

The popular buggy is giving families who've been stuck in the Egyptian resort area a much-needed lifeline

iCandy will be providing all families who make it home from Sharm el-Sheik a free Raspberry buggy to use as soon as they land back in the country.

Scores of British families returning from the resort area have (quite rightly) had to leave their belongings behind in Egypt due to increased flight restrictions, after a Russian plane crashed into the Sinai dessert killing 224 people.

The tragic plane crash was caused by a bomb, in what is thought to be the first successful terror attack on a passenger jet for more that a decade.

As a result, airport security has been heightened and parents travelling with babies or toddlers have been asked to leave their pushchairs behind until they can be shipped to the UK separately.

In a bid to help the families, British pushchair brand iCandy has come together with tour operator Monarch and three UK airports to give them access to a Raspberry pushchair as soon as they get off the plane.

The lightweight buggies will be available at Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester airports.

Monarch said: “As it’s outside of school holidays we had a number of customers travelling with small children who have had to make the journey home without their pushchairs.

“Although this is a temporary situation we wanted to ensure that customers arriving back in the UK from Sharm el-Sheikh were able to pass through the airport and continue their onwards journey as easily as possible.”

We at MFM headquarters are sure this gesture will be welcomed by all families able to access it. Well done iCandy!
