Jennifer Love Hewitt gives birth – and secretly weds
Actor's baby to be called Autumn James
Actor Jennifer Love Hewitt, star of Party of Five and Ghost Whisperer, gave birth to her first child yesterday – and revealed she's secretly married her fiancé.
“Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband Brian Hallisay are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter. Autumn James Hallisay was born on November 26,” Jennifer’s rep told US Weekly.
Jennifer and Brian announced their engagement in June, but privately wed when the star was pregnant.
Jennifer spoke to E! News about how much she wanted to be a mum after her own mother’s tragic death from cancer last year.
“I really feel like, while it's been the most devastating blow to my heart and my spirit, something about this baby has been a gift from her," she said.

“It has somehow been able to replace incredible grief with incredible joy. I'm very, very, very grateful for that. As every day approaches, I ask myself a lot why is she not here for this? Am I going to get through it without her? But I know she's out there and she's watching me and helping me and I'm going to be the best mother possible in her honour."
She told People magazine that she wanted to “pass on to my child all the great love that my mum had for me”.
She also talked about how she and Brian decided not to find out the baby’s gender before it was born. “It's one of life's last great surprises,” she said, “and I want to be surprised.”
