How did Jennifer Metcalfe meet Greg Lake?

Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe (who plays Mercedes McQueen in the hit soap) met former Geordie Shore star Greg Lake in 2013. The couple were in a long-distance relationship, before moving in together in 2017.

It's thought they live in Greg's hometown of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, with Jennifer relocating to be closer to her love.

Admittedly, we don't much about the start of their romance, but we do know things are still going strong!

Jennifer's 1st pregnancy

Jennifer revealed her pregnancy at the 6-month mark at the end of Feb 2017, in a photoshoot with OK! mag.

She admitted that she was in Liverpool for work when she'd taken the pregnancy test - so told Greg, in Newcastle, the happy news over Facetime!

She also revealed she'd decided not to find out the sex of her baby (opting for a surprise at the end of labour). Greg later told the press he'd wrongly guessed it was a little girl, revealing he'd seen a little girl 'come to him in a dream'.

Jennifer and co-star Chelsee Healey were expecting at the same time, and shared the most gorge bump shot to document their pregnancy journey together...

As she approached her due date, at 36 weeks along, Jennifer stunned in a lilac maternity gown on the TV BAFTAs red carpet. We seriously couldn't take our eyes off it...

Daye Colmic Lake

On 20 June 2017, Jennifer gave birth to a baby boy, named Daye Colmic Lake.

"We are delighted to announce that our client Jennifer Metcalfe and partner Greg Lake welcomed a baby boy into the world yesterday. Mother and baby are doing fine," said her rep in a statement to OK!

Daye is a name Jennifer came up with herself. Colmic is a hybrid of both parents' dads names, Colin and Mick.

The soapstar mum has 2 buggies for baby Daye - the CulpaDeo travel system and the Joolz Geo2 pushchair.

She also struck a chord with fans when, 4 weeks after welcoming baby Daye, she shared an honest Instagram post about embracing her new mum curves, wobbles, bumps and stretchmarks.
