Louis is only a few days old, but he's now 5th in line to the British throne, behind his 2 siblings, dad, and grandfather Prince Charles.

By the way, his official royal title will be His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge.

We love the name pick - and reckon it's awesome that the new parents have chosen something unexpected and totally unpredicted by the bookies!

Is this why Kate and William DIDN'T choose Philip?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have picked 3 names each for all of their darling children ?

Louis's brother George is officially Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, while sister Charlotte is officially Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.

The world was desperate to find out what names would be given to the baby Prince, who was born on Monday 23 April 2018.

Bookmakers William Hill had Arthur as favourite at 2-1. James as close second at 4-1, Albert at 5-1 and Philip at 6-1.

Henry, Alexander, Thomas, Edward, Fred, Frederick, Louis and Michael were also in the mix, according to the odds. And it seems Louis had prevaled.

Charles, the name of Prince William's father, and Francis, the middle name of Kate's dad and also the male version of Prince Diana's mother's name (Frances), were also expected to have look in for middle names, too.

BUT one royal commentator corrently guessed that James, Philip, Henry and Edward were completely ruled out of the running for the new baby Prince's first name.

Why? Because the members of the royal family who share them are still alive.

“I can’t see them using Philip as a first name as the royals don’t tend to reuse names that are currently in use,” said Omid Scobie, US Weekly's royal correspondent.

Looks like that might've been the case. Congrats to the Duke and Duchess on their gorgeous new son ?
