News & Gossip Celebrity news Royal Baby Kate Middleton: the world's best pregnancy style? It's all about the tailored coat, the high street dresses and of course, the ever-present suede heeled court shoe... 1 of Ad break Second pregnancy - her best maternity looksThere's no doubt that Kate has styled her baby-bump just as fashionably second time round as she did when expecting Prince George. The seasons might have changed, but the pared down, fitted designs that Kate showcased during her first pregnancy (far left, above) have remained in place as she awaits her second arrival. And for those who want to emulate her style, once again Kate's maternity wear has been a reassuring mix of both high end and high street. Stylish and glowing in Alexander McQueenWith just the right amount of fit and flare, this grey Alexander McQueen checked coat turned heads when Kate made her first official appearance after announcing her second pregnancy. 13-weeks-pregnant Kate topped off her look with a jaunty hat, and drew attention to just the slightest hint of a bump with the positioning of her clutch bag! Elegant but edgy in a little black dress At around 3 months into her second pregnancy, Kate stepped out to a gala dinner in this Gothic-inspired Temperley London Emblem Flare dress (£595) and her trusty black suede heels, proving yet again that maternity fashion does not need to start and end with flowing tops and stretchy leggings! Classy yet on-trend in boucle and heels It might have been a chilly New York night, but 5-months-pregnant Kate did not let her sartorial elegance slip as she attended a function in Manhattan with Prince William in a swish purple and black boucle coat. The omnipresent black suede footwear was in the form of a trendy shoe-boot, and chic black gloves completed her winter look. The vintage influence to the cut skimmed her bump, and the concealed fastening added to the demure, ladylike look. From British label Goat, wannabe-Kate's can steal her style for a princely £680... Old-fashioned glamour StatesideKate's midnight-blue dress worn for the St Andrew's University fundraiser at the Metropolitan Museum of Art certainly made the most of the non-pregnant looking parts of her body! With a crossover bodice and slightly off-the-shoulder neckline, the floor-sweeping Jenny Packham gown flattered in all the right places - and the just-above-the-tummy waist-band gave us the merest hint of baby bump in profile! A hoodie and skinnies to meet the Scouts After her stunning NY wardrobe, Kate dressed down to meet a beaver scout group in London in December, teaming her favourite J-brand skinny jeans with a zip through UK Scouting hoodie! Finishing her pared-down look with a pair of black suede knee high boots, Kate proved that she's definitely down-with-the-kids when it comes to street style maternity wear! Christmas is all wrapped up in cosy coatsFor the Royal's traditional Christmas Day morning walk to church at Sandringham, 5-months-pregnant Kate kept her baby bump warm in a brown tweed military-style coat from Moloh. The earthy hue was a far cry from the £1500 vibrant pink Mulberry outerwear she'd sported in New York just a few weeks before. Continue slideshow > Going with a 60s vibe in mini shift dressAppearing alongside eccentric artist Grayson Perry at a London primary school in January, Kate knew her outfit had to pass muster - and this £450 60s-influenced navy shift dress by Madderson London didn't disappoint! With its double row of pockets and contrast hem, it was one of Kate's more daring maternity looks. Dropping hints in baby blue? For the re-opening of Kensington Leisure Centre in January, Kate's choice of baby-blue outerwear got tongues-a-wagging - could the colour signify another little prince was on the way? Or was it more that the gorgeous cashmere-blend collarless coat from maternity label Seraphine kept out the cold winter chill while flattering her burgeoning bump? Whatever the reason, you could sport the same look for a cool £195.00. Chic and business-like in a high street shirt-dressKate showed her wild side in January, in a bargain-basement brown animal-embossed shirt dress from premium high street store Hobbs. The belted frock cost just £50 in the sale, and canny Kate teamed it with black opaques and her trusty heels to visit a centre for foster carers in north London. Ship-shape in a Temperley frockKate was certainly not all at sea in the style stakes when she rocked up to an engagement at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth in February in a fab Alice Temperley boat-print frock. And if it also floats your boat, at just £99, it doesn't come with too much of a royal price-tag. Continue slideshow > Wrapped up to the max in Max Mara Kate banished the chilly sea air in Portsmouth in a cream Max Mara coat, wearing it belted empire-style just above her six-month bump. With its slightly a-line skirt, it made for the perfect mid-pregnancy cover up. At £810, the coat is definitely an investment piece - even if it does come with the Royal seal of approval. Recycled dalmatian printKate dressed her 8-month in a striking dalmatian print coat by British label Hobbs, in March. She's clearly a fan of the form-fitting coat as she previously wore the £169 coat while pregnant with Prince George in 2013. And again... Kate recycles her New York coat for last public appearanceKate was all smiles as she made her final public outing at the end of March - weeks before her April due date. Kate dressed up for the occasion in the fuschia pink double-breasted Mulberry coat that she first wore in New York in December. Apparently it costs around £1,500 - well, we can't blame her for going out in style. Read more... Kate's pregnancy bump - is it normal size?
