Kate, Wills and Prince George: new family portrait
Prince George, 8 months, and dog Lupo steal the show in this sweetly informal royal portrait released by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
Prince William and Kate Middleton have released a new official portrait of their little royal family, and it’s so unstuffy and natural, we can’t stop looking at it.
First up – hasn’t Prince George grown? He's got that proper 8 months' chubby-cheeked look, hasn't he?
Secondly, he just looks adorable in that baby blue jumper emblazoned with his name. The Daily Mail are reporting that the George jumper was a gift from his granddad Prince Charles.
And finally, we can’t help but notice George staring lovingly at the family dog Lupo. It looks like the two are already firm friends!
The portrait was released yesterday to mark Mother’s Day – and just ahead of the start of the family’s tour of New Zealand and Australia next week.

The picture was taken through a window of their home in Kensington Palace by photographer Jason Bell, who also took the official photographs of Prince George’s christening last year.
