It wasn’t long ago we were saluting Liv Tyler’s stunning maternity style and sharing Ironic singer Alanis Morissette’s amazing underwater bump pic.

But now… their little ones have arrived, and both new mums have already revealed their name choices!

Alanis was the first to announce the happy news.

The singer-songwriter gave birth to a daughter (a lil sis for her 5-year-old son, Ever) and revealed the newborn’s unique name alongside a gorgeous Instagram debut.

“She's here! Onyx Solace Morissette-Treadway June 23 2016 #beyondblessed” Alanis wrote beside the snap.

Onyx – which is a colourful semi-precious agate stone - is traditionally used as a birthstone for those with the star sign Leo. It’s usually worn to deflect negative energy and release negative emotions.

And middle name Solace means ‘relief, comfort and consolation’ or ‘alleviation of distress’.

Definitely in-keeping with the recent slew of slightly different names we’ve had from new celeb parents like Jena Malone, Jackson Rathbone and Tess Holliday.

(We’re also sensing little Onyx is set with the tools to become quite the positive person…)

Liv also announced the birth of a healthy baby girl on Instagram.

The mum-of-3 picked out such lovely names for her 11-year-old boy Milo and 1-year-old son Sailor… we were dying to see what she chose for her 1st girl.

And here it is… Lula Rose!

“?Hello!!!!!? our beautiful baby girl is here !!!!? Lula Rose Gardner ? we are sooooo happy ? heart exploding with love !!!!!? @davidgardner” Liv wrote beside the snap of her husband David holding baby Lula.

Lula was one of the most popular 50 girls’ names in the 1880s, according to Nameberry, but it’s since come back into fashion.

It is typically thought to be a nickname for ‘Louisa’ or ‘Tallulah’, but some say it means ‘renowned warrior’ in German, and ‘pearl’ in Arabic.

Huuuge congrats to the happy new parents!

What do you think of these baby name choices – and what’s your little one called?
