Lush Dream Cream hailed as a 'transformative' eczema cure

Some parents reckon it's curing eczema when nothing else will...

In a Facebook post, with the above before and after pics of her little boy, mum Sarah Rudd wrote:

"Final post about the baby’s skin, most of you saw he was a hot mess last month with the eczema he’d had since birth.... nothing we were prescribed worked, even hydrocortisone cream didn’t touch it.

"Tried dairy free formula, Dermol, Nizarol, Aveeno, Oilatum.... nothing made a difference. He didn’t sleep for 4 months because he scratched non stop all night.

"After a shout out we were recommended Dream Cream by Lush and gave it a go; it’s transformed his skin and he’s now completely and utterly eczema free. For anyone else having a hard time, it’s done the job for us ?"

And despite all the hype saying it had sold out completely, you can still buy 100g for £6.50 or 240g for £13.95 on the official Lush website.

Is Lush's Dream Cream safe for babies?

One word of caution we wanted to include here is that Lush's products are generally meant for adults, not babies.

And while we've not yet asked Lush directly about this product in particular, when we queried them about their Sleepy lotion they told us:

"Lush makes all of its own product perfume and we follow the international fragrance guidelines when doing so, the perfume in Sleepy body lotion falls within all the recommended parameters of them.

"As a general rule for babies, we don’t think you should put any perfumed products on children under the age of 6 months."

What MFM mums make of Lush's Dream Cream

We shared Sarah's post on Facebook, and received hundreds of comments from mums - some who said they'd definitely be trying it, others who had already had and agreed with Sarah.

"I'm 3 days in using this cream, hate the smell but - wow - it's cleared up her skin a lot better than anything prescribed ?" one told us.

"It's amazing!" said anther mum. "My 5 year old suffers really badly from dermatitis, where it makes his skin crack behind his ears.

"He has steroid creams etc but nothing worked. Started using this and it cleared within days. I now use it for everything!"

And then there was this: "I use it on my boys - it’s fantastic stuff!" One mum even suggested the Sleep lotion for eczema, too:

"The sleepy cream is also amazing, it cleared my daughter's eczema up in a matter of days!"
