As any mother will know, there comes a point late on in pregnancy when your bump gets so huge, there are moments when you feel a little less human and a little more, erm, elephantine.

And BBC newsreader Kate Silverton has clearly been having one of those moments. After watching an elephant give birth on a recent episode of wildlife series Born In The Wild, the 8-months-pregnant mume-to-be took to Twitter to joke, "I'm in the stage when I feel like that mama elephant."

We so know what you mean, Kate!

It may just be a coincidence but it seems that Kate, who is expecting her 2nd baby, is having something of a wildlife-themed time of it.

Earlier this week, she attended the launch of United For Wildlife's #whosesideareyouon campaign at Google HQ, London. Sporting shades, a form-fitting black T-shirt, denim skinny jeans and silver pumps, Kate's look was chic – and certainly dispelled any comparisons with pachyderms!

United For Wildlife is a group of 7 conservation charities who are working together to combat the illegal trade in wildlife products.

The group has the Duke of Cambridge as its president, and David Beckham as one several ambassadors seeking to involve young people in the new campaign through sport.

Kate took the opportunity to pose with Becks for this snap, which she then posted on Twitter with the comment, "The Bump meets #Beckham."
