Before Kate Middleton became a Duchess

Kate and Prince William met while studying at the University of St Andrews in 2001.

They reportedly began their relationship in 2003, and continued their romantic relationship despite intense media scrutiny until 2007, when the couple separated on a holiday to Zermatt, a ski resort in Switzerland.

By 2008, it seemed the couple had quickly rekindled their relationship and in October 2010, Prince William proposed on a 10-day trip to Kenya. William proposed with the ring given to his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

Clarence House officially announced the engagement on 16 November 2010.

Cheeky Prince George and sweet Princess Charlotte

Interest in the mini monarchs, their budding personalities and adorable baby style has always been incredibly high. Here 's just some of what we've seen from the royal children so far...

As a baby, Prince George captured headlines everywhere when he was spotted looking a tiny bit grumpy in his mum's arm, after a 30-hour flight to New Zealand. We can't say we blame him, either!

8-month-old George had his first fashion icon moment when a pic of him in sailor-style dungarees went viral.

Prince George's bedtime style also became the envy of mums and dads everywhere, after he was photographed meeting President Obama in a crisp white My 1st Years bathrobe, which sold-out in minutes.

At the age of 2, Prince George looked just like any other nervous 2-year-old on the 1st day of nursery, in a series of photos captured by mum Kate.

The toddler prince was also seen on many official engagements. He was pictured disapproving of his dad's hat, pulling his mum down a hill, and looking beyond excited by his grandmother's birthday parade.

2-week-old Charlotte was being held by George in gorgeous official snaps photographed by mum Kate. Prince George looked ever the protective big brother - and rumour had it that just a few weeks later, Princess Charlotte was sleeping through the night.

At then 9-week-old sister Princess Charlotte's christening, Prince George was spotted peeking into his sister's pram, as well as giving the waiting photographers a very cheeky look.

At 6 months, Charlotte was sure shown to be a cutie (and super playful) in another series of photos taken by Kate. This time, the baby princess looked sweet in a pink cardie-dress combo, and laughed delightedly at her toy dog.

On the Cambridge family's 1st holiday as a 4, we saw both Prince George and a baby Princess Charlotte looking delighted to be surrounded by snow, while mum and dad threw a few snowballs at each other.

Prince William shared a few tidbits about his 2 young children during a charity event for mental health charity Heads Together. He revealed that at 1 years old, Charlotte wasn't one for crying. But George certainly was. He even revealed his secret to getting the future King of England to calm down.

At 13-months-old, Princess Charlotte made her 1st ever public outing for the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations. She even gave the public an enthusiastic 1st wave.

For his 3rd birthday, the palace released photos of Prince George and his cute pet dog, Lupo. It's clear George is gonna grow up to be an animal lover - he's even giving Lupo some of his ice cream in the shot.

3-year-old Prince George was said to be fascinated by the lights at a photoshoot for his first ever stamp, which featured his great-grandma Queen Elizabeth II, grandad Prince Charles and dad Prince William. Doesn't he look proud as punch!

On 29 September 2016, Princess Charlotte and her older brother were photographed enjoying a playdate on the family's royal tour of Canada. The young royals were seen enjoying balloon animals, bubbles and bunnies during the exciting visit.

Kate's 3rd pregnancy

On 4 September 2017, Kensington Palace announced that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant with her 3rd child.

No other details were released, other than to say Kate was once again suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum - a severe form of morning sickness - which caused her to cancel a pre-planned public event.

It may be that this was a somewhat early announcement, before the traditional 12-week mark, to avoid speculation about the Duchess' reason for cancelling.

Yet, no due date was announced, though we knew we wouldn't meet the new royal until early/mid 2018.

Prince Harry revealed he was thrilled to become an uncle for the 3rd time, and Queen Elizabeth II is also reportedly chuffed to become a great-grandma again.

Prince Louis' birth

On 23 April 2018, Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed their 3rd child, a baby boy.

Prince Louis of Cambridge was born at 11.01am at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, in Paddington, London. He weighed 8lb 70z at birth.

As the Duchess did with all of her children, she and husband Prince William appeared on the hospital steps later that evening, with their bundle of joy, and posed for that precious first photograph before the world's press.

Many noted how Kate looked lovely in red, and that her dress bore a resemblance to the brightly-hued outfit William's mother Diana, Princess of Wales, wore while posing with a baby Prince Harry on the very same steps decades earlier.

In the 1st month of Prince Louis' life, we've not heard much from the Duchess of Cambridge. Naturally, she wants to get to know her newest child.

She did release, via the Kensington Palace Instagram, 2 photos of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, on Charlotte's 3rd birthday...

How precious ???
