Ah, first day of school - the nerves, the tears - and that's just the parents, right? ?

Yep, if you've just sent your little one off to Reception today, or perhaps last week (maybe earlier if you're in Scotland) - how much would you have appreciated getting a goody bag like this from your little one's new teacher?

Kind-hearted Zoe Ogden from Bolton is a mum of two herself, and knows just how hard it can be for parents waving their wee ones off to school for the very first time.

So she made up goody bags for each of her parents, which included tissues, teabags, biscuits - and the loveliest note for parents to savour once they'd dropped their little one off.

"Thank you for entrusting your child to us. We promise to guide and nurture your child as they explore this new world they have just stepped into.

More like this

Go home and put your feet up with a cup of tea and a biscuit and we will take care of your precious little ones."

There's also a poem that reads:

"It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings."

Awwwww, that's got us bawling ?

Of course we know that probably not all teachers have gone this far - it really is going the extra mile in our book - but we do know that they're all doing a great job with our little munchkins.

Thanks to every one of them and enjoy the new term ?

What do you think?

Has your little one just started school? Would you liked to have received a goody bag like this? Perhaps your child's school did something just as sweet to ease the nerves for Reception parents?
