Ronan Keating sets record straight on split and international move
Boyzone star Ronan announces split from model wife Yvonne and reveals they wanted to protect their three children
Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating and wife Yvonne have split after 14 years of marriage.
Ronan, 35, took to Twitter last night and confirmed rumours of the split. “Sadly our news is true. Thank u all for your support. Yvonne and I still love and care for each other and want to protect our kids. X,” he tweeted.
Allegedly the couple had tried to keep their marriage together for their children, Jack, 13, Marie, 11, and Ali, 6. Yvonne, 37, tweeted, “Sadly our marriage ended late last year. We kept this news private to give everybody involved time to adjust. Thank [sic] for your support x”
It seems Ronan and Yvonne managed to spend New Year’s together in Scotland with their children, based on snaps on Yvonne’s Twitter page, reports The Daily Mail.
Fresh from confirming news of the split, Ronan was rumoured to be relocating to Australia where he’s a judge on Australian X-Factor for six months of the year. However, the star has put the record straight on Twitter, “I hear some papers are saying I plan on moving to Oz. great country but my kids live in Ireland and so will I. X.”
