Forget Gru and all that nonsense about saving the world – for us it was the minions that were the star of the Despicable Me films. And it seems we’re not alone in our love of the babbling yellow minions as they’re getting their own spin-off film.
In the trailer for the prequel to Despicable Me, minions have been on earth since the dawn of time, and have always had the same goal – to serve the most despicable master around. Of course, before Gru was around, the Minions had lots of other masters – including a T-Rex, a pharaoh and even Count Dracula.
But finally as time went on they ran out of masters and 3 minions – Stuart, Kevin and Bob – set out on a journey to find their tribe the biggest, baddest villain to serve.
We have to admit we laughed out loud more than once during this trailer so we can’t wait to see what the full feature-length film will be like. But we’ve got a bit of a wait on our hands, Minions won’t be in cinemas until, gulp, 10 July 2015.
Oh well, let's dig out Despicable Me 1 and 2 to get our minion-fix in the meantime!
