Making his entrance into the world measuring two-feet tall, his shocked mum Ani, 41, was astounded to see her big baby boy after giving birth via a caesarean in Sumatra, Indonesia.

“This heavy baby made the surgery really tough, especially the process of taking him out of his mum’s womb. His legs were so big,” surgeon Binsar Sitanggan told the Metro.

The bouncing baby boy’s large size may be due to high levels of glucose in the womb, caused by his mum’s diabetes, according to the American College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists.

Indonesia’s previous largest baby weighed only 6.9kg, a small comparison to this 8.7kg babe. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world’s biggest ever baby was born in Canada, weighing 10.2kg (23lbs 2oz).

The oversized newborn is said to be healthy and it seems he already has a large personality! “This baby boy is extraordinary, the way he’s crying is not like a usual baby. It’s really loud!” the surgeon concluded.
