With online bullying escalating over the world, the Obama’s shot the video during the run up to the White House Conference on Bullying Prevention.

Students, parents and teachers discussed how best to prevent bullying, along with the help of the world’s most famous social network.

Facebook has stated its belief in addressing safety issues proactively. It encourages youngsters to report any potentially offensive content to them using ‘reporting buttons.’

Users of Facebook who are being bullied online can now also report the problem to friends, as well as site moderators. The option to contact a “trusted friend” has been added to the website’s safety centre. Facebook said that the system was designed to help people solve online problems “face to face.”
