Mum-of-2 splashes out on 'Pony Party' for daughter's fifth birthday bash
Once you've sorted a venue, food, games and goody bags, the cost of a child's birthday party can quickly add up. But nothing was too lavish when Sophie-May Dickson, 22, threw a party for her daughter Princess Bliss' fifth birthday.
The single mum from Essex splashed out on a pony, red carpet and 3-tiered birthday cake – denying that she'll make her daughter spoilt.
"I think there's a big difference between a spoilt child and treated one," she said, appearing on ITV's This Morning. "They haven’t laid down on the floor and kicked their legs and said, 'I want this'.
"It’s once a year you get them something special – why shouldn’t you splash out?
"You’ve got a year to do what your children want for their birthdays, why wouldn’t you do what they asked for?"

Sophie-May who previously appeared on Channel 5 documentary Blinging Up Baby, is also mum to 3-year-old Precious Belle Ruby Rozina, and pampers both her girls with spray tans, nail polish and designer clothes.
She started planning Princess's fifth birthday 9 months before the event in September. "It was just a party, like most people have," she said. "We had a DJ, face painting and a bouncy castle."
"At the end of the day, her name’s Princess. That’s quite an extravagant name, so you have to expect extravagant parties," she said.
