One Mum's seven-day potty training diary
Summer’s the season for sun, flowers, holidays…and potties. Why? Because the warmer weather means it’s fine for training tots to run round with nothing on down below and as you’re both outside more, it keeps your carpet safe from ruin. But how do you know your little one is ready for potty training? "If your child stays dry for a couple of hours, showing an interest in the potty and telling you when they need their nappy changed," says Sue Atkins, parent coach and author of Raising Happy Children for Dummies (£15.99 John Wiley and Sons). "Don’t start when there’s something else going on, like a new baby, a move from cot to bed, or an illness in the family," adds Sue.If you’re good to go, the next question you’ll be asking is how long will it take. Every child is different but, armed with the right info', you should be able to get through it in seven days.
