Inglesina Mhome Loft rocker

Summary : Full Review : Reader Reviews : Gallery : Specs : Discussion
Uber-luxurious rocker with adjustable seat recline, great looking and available in a good range of colours

A little on the bulky side, the recline is quite awkward to adjust

Thoroughly modern and luxuriously padded, the Inglesina Mhome Loft rocker is the kind of baby chair you won’t be rushing to hide from view once your baby’s in bed.

Whether you’re using it with or without the head hugger, the Inglesina Mhome Loft rocker is one of the most highly padded baby chairs around so when your baby’s snoozing, playing or simply watching the world go by, she’s sure to be doing it in comfort. With its lightly curved white plastic base and rectangular cushion, it looks very much like a pillow on a tray, further emphasising that air of sumptuous comfort.

What we love

The padding – it’s definitely comfortable. Even the crotch strap has the same level of padding, so there’ll be no chafed legs.

It’s also a real looker and will grace your home rather than detract from the décor. There are five colours to choose from so you’re sure to find one to complement your colour scheme – and if you like animal prints you can buy spare covers in a fun cow or giraffe print.

The gentle curve of the seat’s base means your baby’s own movement will enable him to rock himself off to sleep, and once in the land of nod, the pull-out foot underneath can be used to keep him nice and still.

It’s flat enough for a newborn in the lowest position, but because the seat can be raised to three further positions it’s also great as your baby grows, as she can sit safely and play or just soak up her surroundings. It’ll even be useful for those early meals or if you don’t have a highchair with you.

The removable, reversible head hugger offers extra protection for your newborn’s delicate head and neck. The fabric will see off most stains with a wipe, but can also be washed when the grime gets tough.

Tucked away under the seat are long straps that can be used to carry the chair from one room to another, even with the baby inside (although this must be done carefully as the seat has no shoulder straps, just the usual 3-point harness).

What to watch out for

Adjusting the seat recline involves pulling a lever, then pushing in buttons on either side of the strut at the back of the seat: this isn’t particularly difficult and does enhance the seat’s safety but is a bit awkward.

It’s bulkier than many other baby rockers, and relatively expensive for a chair that will only last until your child can sit up unaided.

Who is the Inglesina Mhome Loft rocker best for?

Families who value style and function.

MadeForMums verdict

A baby chair that makes a real style statement and offers great all-round comfort. The Inglesina Mhome Loft rocker adjustability gives it extra points, although it loses a few on the grounds of price and bulkiness.
