Great Ease Of Use

Something we really like is how light the seat is, and how easy it is to move around. Our daughter is at that stage now where she throws tantrums for anything and everything and she will quite regularly DEMAND that the car seat is moved from the left to the right side of the car. With her old car seat this simply wouldn't have been an option. With the Guardian Pro 2, it takes about 1 second to move the seat.

We have (unfortunately) already had a need to try out how easy it is to remove and wash the car seat covers and I can confirm that it was pretty intuitive and the covers came out of the wash looking just fine (it says on this site that they are handwash only, i risked the washing machine!)
The Guardian Pro 2 is suitable from about 9 months right the way through until your child no longer needs a car seat. We are currently using it in the group 1 format which means that our daughter sits in the seat and is held in place with the Kiddy impact shield. We strap the main car seat belt over the impact shield and then pull the belt tight in place. It is incredibly easy to fit.

We found the seat really easy to tailor to our daughter. There is a very simple insert which you can fold or unfold to increase your child's height against the impact shield. The most impressive thing though is the single lever that you need to pull in order to raise the headrest and widen the shoulder supports all in one neat move. It is so easy to do compared to all previous seats we have tried.

The level of impact protection around the head is really noticeable... the head area really protrudes so I don't think you could fit three of these car seats across the back seat of a car.

The only car seat I will ever use!

The first time I put Beanie Boy into the seat and tried to insert the impact shield he placed his feet behind it and pushed it away,I thought this would be the beginning of the end but I tried again and this time he allowed me to put the shield in place and fasten him into the car. I have now been using the Kiddy Guardian Pro 2 for 2 weeks and I can honestly say Beanie Boy loves it. Now when I sit him in his seat he holds his arms up ready for me to put the shield in place, once I have inserted the shield he holds onto it over the top whilst I belt him in and then he relaxes. He has been sleeping beautifully in his seat and looks so comfortable, within seconds I am able to recline his seat for greater comfort. The one thing which has really surprised me is how he no longer feels hot and clammy when I take him out of his seat which is thanks to the breathable Thermotex fabric that increases air circulation. I know that I will never need another seat for my little man!!
There are none!
The best car seat i have ever used and the only one I will use in the future.

Brilliant! (And you can attach it when empty....)

We've had this for over a year and it has been brilliant for our son. It has fitted easily into all 5 cars that we've needed to use it in. It has adapted easily as our son has grown (so far) with the cushion and head bumper. We have never had the problem of him pushing the bumper away once attached, or of him slipping underneath (if you pull the seat belt tight enough it would be impossible). As a physio, the idea behind the bumper rather than 5 point harness makes perfect sense, and when he falls asleep on journeys he just rests his arms and head comfortably on the bumper.
There is no easy way to carry this from house/car to car- especially if you have a nursery bag and small child to carry at the same time. If there was a way of attaching the bumper to the seat and some sort of carrying strap, it would be easier.
We love this seat and the other people who have seen it/used it with our son have all thought it was great. Thankfully we have never had to test its safety claims, but its score from Which? and the German equivalent is more than enough reassurance for me.

BTW- When the child isn't in it, if you slot the bumper into place and strap the seat belt across as if the child is in it, the seat is secured safely in the car. I'm really surprised the site's reviewer didn't think of this.....

A GOOD BUY. HAVE HAD THE SEAT FOR OVER A YEAR AND NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT.

Easy to fit and comfortable for my daughter, she sleeps really well in it. there are no uncomfortable straps that may dig in. The cushion is really comfortable, does not restrict in any way and my daughter has never got too hot, unlike in her old traditional style group 0 seat. The toy strap allows me to attach distractions for long journeys. The covers are not easy to wash but wipe clean very easily.
The back is adjustable to fit your child as it grows, it's quite easy to accidentally change it when moving the seat from car to car.
The recline is a bit fiddly, hard to change when the child is already in the seat, impossible once the child is strapped in.
You need a fairly long seatbelt for it to be easy to strap in.
I would definitely recommend this seat, I do not regret buying it. There are some comments about it being easy for the child to remove the cushion bit I have not had any problems with it. I always give the cushion a quick tug after strapping in and tighten the belt if needed.
