We have a Mamas & Papas Vito child seat that is very dissapointing

The car seat is sturdy and seems very safe but only if our 16 months baby is asleep!
Baby can escape too easly. We went into the Staines store and had the seat checked and then but baby into it. By the time we had got out of the car park she had got out of the shoulder restraints. The problem we went into the store to compalin about. On our return we were told to train baby not to fidget!!

So an unsatisfactory seat let down by incompetent store staff.
We feel very let down by this seat and even more so by the shop staff. The gentleman who served us, a part time student, said that he and one other staff member had been trained on this seat and could not understand what was going wrong. He was good but let down by his supervisor who could not see us because she was doing paper work!

Previously we had complained to Head Office as the staff refused to come out to the car to help us fit the seat. Health and Safety would you believe.

Looks nice, Comfortable, not sure how long it will last as strap height seems low.

Using the same isofix as viaggio was the only reason I bought this seat. It's really comfortable and my daughter sleeps well when its reclined. It was fairly easy to install with the isofix and the seat slide moves easily when my little girl is in the seat. Seatbelt pads are comfortable and its height means she can easily see out of the windows.
The 1st problem I had was instilation. I have an A2 and the seats are very upright in the back. In order to click the seat on the base at the right angle I had to move the isofix yellow grips to the longest length, and slide back
The major concern I have with the seat is that it was really difficult to tighten the straps sufficiently. I actually went back to M&P and the lady told me the straps should be just above my daughter shoulders. She is just 1yr and only weighs 19lbs but they are on level 3of4. Surely in the next 3 yrs she will grow more than that?! It did fix the strap problem though.
Happy so far, but worried about what will happen as child grows.
