Isofix makes this seat a dream!

* Lots of padding.
* Extremely easy to use with ISOFIX base.
* Travel system compatible.
* Heavy.
* Almost impossible to fit with just the seatbelt.
Silvercross have finally released an isofix base for the ventura plus. The base is easy to fit and putting the car seat in takes less than a second. The newborn insert is well padded and is made of a lovely soft fleece material. Oliver (2 months) has used the seat from birth and has always looked comfortable, with just the right amount of space. The handle can be clipped forward to turn the car seat into a rocker, which is fantastic to settle a fractious baby. I find the seat easy to use but it is a little on the heavy side, add to that a baby, and you do need two hands to lug it in and out of the house. On the two occasions my husband has gone off to work with the isofix in his car, I have had to fiddle with belting the seat into my car, this takes over ten minutes, with ridiculous amounts of seat belt tugging and threading. Resulting in a wide awake and screaming child.

Excellent Car Seat

Forms part of a Silver Cross travel system, easily attaches onto various pram chassis (our being the SX Classic chassis).

Really sturdy & well made as you would expect from Silver Cross, with lots of padding for baby's comfort. The harness adjusts, and the footmuff etc can be washed which is really useful.
You need a long seatbelt otherwise it won't belt in properly - best to get your car checked out for fitting before buing.

Much to my surprise this does fit my 2003 Toyota Celica, but generally 3 door sports coupes & baby seats aren't really a good combination for the longer term.
Great for on-the-go travel, eliminates the need to take bulky carry cots along for the ride.

FANTASTIC CAR SEAT

Great angle for baby to see out, various positions to put the handle in to make it safer for the baby, easy to fit in the car (vw lupo, bmw 5 series and vauxhall vectra all no problem)
Having to unfasten the hood on the seat at one side to fasten it in the car
I love this seat, it is sturdy, looks good, is well padded and my baby loves it!

GOOD FIRST SIZE CAR SEAT

Very sturdy and supportive. Fits easily onto classic chassis and 3d pushchair.
Quite heavy when baby gets a bit bigger. I used to leave it in the car after about 6 months!
Good first car seat. Fitted into front and back of a Saxo with no problems, although very neat in the back of my sister's Yaris (and that is with the fromt seat quite far forward!).

GOOD STRONG SAFE SEAT

Seems to be strong and safe for baby. Works well with the 3d pram
Very heavy when carrying, doesn't fit into all cars, I have tried my mums, mum in laws and brothers cars and the seat belts are too short, it fits ok into my own car a VW Passat.
My baby is 4 months old I probably won't keep her in it mych longer as it is heavy to carry and plus she will soon be the length of it another month or so I will move her into a car seat.
