What we love
Mothercare sleeping bags are easy to wash at 40 degrees, and tumble dry on low, which is essential if you only have one or two and your baby is sick on one. They wash well, and even after eight or nine months of regular washing the colours haven’t faded. They’re also made of a lovely soft velour material that doesn’t seem to get ruined with washing or tumble drying, so are still very soft against my baby’s skin.
When we go away we only need to take our sleeping bag, not blankets and sheets. Mothercare Fast Car Snoozie has a zip up the front, which makes it very easy to get my baby in and out of quickly. Mothercare sleeping bags are good value for money, as they last well, and are as stylish as any other brands on the market. Overall, an excellent buy.
What to watch out for
While the 0-6 month sleeping bag is great for that age range, the 18-36 month is actually fine for a baby younger than this. The only difference between it and the 6-18 month style is the length. It just doesn’t make financial sense to end up buying the 6-18 month and the 18-36 month when one will do.
The 2.5 tog will keep my baby warm enough during the winter months, although on particularly cold nights a blanket might be needed, too. The summer weight sleeping bag is much lighter and perfect for spring, autumn and cooler summer nights, although on hot sticky nights, even this is too much for my baby.
