From the time you get your precious bundle home, every mum changes hundreds, if not thousands, of nappies. But you only pay attention to them if they don’t come up to the mark. So would Sainsbury’s little ones newborn nappies be ones I could bung on my son Cormac and forget about?
Nappies just aren’t very exciting – they don’t give me any special pleasure and they don’t make my little darling Cormac look any cuter than he already does. Cormac and I loved that Sainsbury’s little ones newborn nappies held their own in the face of all the poo and wee he could muster.
They fitted and wicked the moisture away from his bottom. He couldn’t care less, but I love the price. We both loved that we could forget about them.
What to watch out for
Sainsbury’s little ones newborn nappies seem lightly bulkier and stiffer than their more expensive rivals. However, it didn’t seem to make any difference to Cormac.
They also needed to have the tabs fitted fairly tightly to make sure nothing escaped down his leg, but this happens with every nappy and must have more to do with Cormac’s shape than anything else.

Sainsbury’s little ones newborn nappies are excellent nappies: they absorb wee and poo, locking it away from delicate skin, fit well with elastic at the leg holes, and the Velcro is strong enough to cope with the most vigorous wriggling. They may be slightly bulky, but they works so well you won’t need to give them a second thought. Of course, the very best thing about them is the price.
