Bambino Mio swim nappies are an economical and environmental option. They look cute and they do the job of keeping nasties contained.

You don’t need any nappy under the reusable Bambino Mio swim nappies. And by forking out a mere £8.75 for one, you might find it works out cheaper than buying disposables if you swim often.

The company has won several awards for its various eco-friendly products, and so you expect a quality product.

The Bambino Mio swim nappies are super-comfy, and feature a concealed waterproof layer, a cotton lining and elasticated waist and leg cuffs. The cotton lining ensures there’s something soft again your baby’s skin, your baby’s skin is against something soft, and as the PR blurb says, they’re also ergonomically designed allowing baby to swim freely in the water.

The swim nappies are really lightweight, can be machine-washed and come in four sizes, covering babies weighing from 5kg to 27kg.

On a very basic and aesthetic level, they just look so much nicer than a big old bulky nappy.

What we love

The oh-so-cute spotty design – coloured spots on a pink or blue background. You can also get them in fish prints, on a lime or red background.

The pants have a drawstring to make them a little snugger if your baby is between sizes. They also have a snug fit around the leg so there can be no escapee poos!

Bambino Mio swim nappies are a really economical option if you swim a lot and/or if you plan on more than one baby.

When you go on holiday, you can also just stuff the Bambino Mio in your suitcase rather than having to drag along a whole load of disposable swim nappies.

What to watch out for

You can’t leave your baby in the Bambino Mio swim nappy for too long because there are only so many wees it will contain before starting to leak.

Being material, of course it’ll take time to dry out, whereas with a disposable you can just bin it and start again for the next swim in a new dry one.

I liked the colours and patterns but there isn’t a huge range to choose from.

Who are the Bambino Mio swim nappies best for?

Eco-minded parents who often go swimming with their baby.
