Organic, rich, nourishing, doesn't leave skin greasy

Strong and sweet smell that lingers, tube doesn’t last long

Green Baby Stretch Mark Cream isn’t greasy, and uses natural ingredients and essential oils to nourish pregnant skin.

If you’re organically-inclined and intend to use only the purest, natural ingredients on your newborn’s skin, why not start early and nourish your bump with an organic cream? Green Baby Stretch Mark Cream is part of Green Baby’s handmade, organic skincare range. While the product as a whole is not yet Soil Association certified, the company claims to source as many of its ingredients as possible organically, and will only claim an ingredient is organic if its suppliers have a recognised certificate.

Green Baby Stretch Mark Cream is not tested on animals and the range is free from petrochemicals, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium laureth sulphate, parabens, artificial perfumes or colourings.

This cream has a sunflower oil base with added cocoa butter, organic jojoba oil and carrot oil to nourish. Then there are the essential oils of organic mandarin, organic lavender and neroli, which both perfume the cream and give it its regenerative, anti-stretch mark properties.

What we love

Green Baby Stretch Mark Cream is a joy to apply and feels lovely and nourishing. It also sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy.

The packaging is cute and it’s good to know you’re using a truly natural product on your skin with no chemical nasties.

What to watch out for

I didn’t particularly like the scent of this cream. Natural it may be, but it’s fairly overpowering and sickly sweet and seems to linger all day. My husband even asked why I smelled of biscuits!

The tube is also far too small for daily use. With just one liberal application a day to my bump, bust and bum I’d used it up in just over a week.

Who is Green Baby Stretch Mark Cream best for?

Earth mothers who take a chemical-free approach to beauty and don’t mind the sweet smell.

MadeForMums verdict

Green Baby Stretch Mark Cream is a lovely cream to apply and leaves skin feeling moisturised but not greasy. The use of natural and –where possible organic – ingredients will be a big plus point for some mums, though the scent the essential oils won’t be to the liking of all. If you plan to use this cream daily and liberally, you’ll go through quite a few tubes during your pregnancy.
